As a strong advocate of equitable education, Edwina Williams founded Project LIKE (Literacy Is Knowledge Empowerment) in 2016 to provide youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with free global literacy resources and support. Edwina graduated from MiraCosta College with an AA degree in Psychology. She has since earned a BA in Psychology and a MA in Sociological Practice from California State University San Marcos. After the completion of her master’s program, Edwina entered a yearlong faculty internship program between the San Diego/Imperial County Community College Association (SDICCCA) and San Diego State University. This internship led to an Associate Faculty position in the Sociology Department at MiraCosta College.
